Helping to encourage fair trade and eco-friendly behaviour, whilst supporting charities and small businesses, is the foundation of BoBelle's ethos.

In maintaining our ethos we have formed very close relationships with our suppliers. By having such strong links has enabled us to create a service at BoBelle which is very personal; something which we feel is lacking when shopping on the high street or in a department store.

Makki Eel Skin Fashion Accessories: Eel skin is a by-product of the food industry in Korea where the eels are killed for their meat and the skin is discarded. Each one is hand made under fair trade conditions and dyed using vegetable dyes. They are incredibly soft and supple and the durability of the leather makes it a perfect material for fashion accessories as it does not 'crack' like cow's leather can do. Fair trade and natural bath and beauty products. Isabella Smith Apothecary is a gorgeous company who create their ranges in France using the finest natural ingredients. Each item is paraben-free, contain no SLS or SLES and contain natural ingredients such as shea butter, almond and avocado oil and pro-vitamins B and E. Furthermore, no harsh colourants are used either. Each product comes in a gorgeous gift box which is made from recycled materials and which is also fully recyclable. Organic Cotton Baby Clothes. Our Organics for Kids range is adorable! Each item is designed by a lady called Jane in Oxford (round the corner from me!) and the organic cotton is grown in India using no pesticides at all. The garments are then made by a small group of women under fair trade conditions. In addition, like the fashion accessories, all dyes used are natural. Hand made recycled jewellery. One of our designers, Kate and Nia, hand craft their jewellery in Wales using sterling silver for the ear wires, neck chains and bracelet chains and then recycled aluminium and tin for the pendants. In addition, at BoBelle www.bobelle.co.uk we complimentary gift-wrap every item purchased in acid free tissue paper and tie with recycled raffia. Presentation is very important to us and we feel that a little can go a long way! We also have recently purchased biodegradable cellophane for our new gift packs. Each item purchased online is sent out in a 100% recyclable box/envelope which is filled with 100% biodegradable filler to protect. Furthermore, when we exhibit at markets or shows all purchases are given in a carrier bag which is made from 100% recycled materials. We constantly source new ways to live and promote more 'green' ways of living. We should not be limited to just shopping on the high street where not only the fashion is boring, but where there is no atmosphere or individuality. Fair trade should not be a luxury but it should be a right.
