Atlanta International Fashion Week (AIFW) is partnering with Brand Atlanta for the Third Annual Fashion Week. This year AIFW has become the official fashion week for the city of Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA, July 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On July 15, 2009, Atlanta International Fashion Week announces its partnership with Brand Atlanta at the Artmore Hotel in midtown Atlanta. With the support of the city's mayor Shirley Franklin, Brand Atlanta will declare AIFW the official fashion week of Atlanta, Georgia. This partnership will not only benefit the development of AIFW, but will also bring press, agents, celebrities, industry professionals, experts, designers, and buyers to the city. The five day event, transpiring July 22-26, is expecting to attract 3,000 to 5,000 participants and guests. AIFW welcomes designers, models, media, and VIPs to Atlanta from around the world including the UK, Australia, Canada, Africa, Japan, India, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean.

About Atlanta International Fashion Week

Launching its third year, AIFW will host runway shows, trade shows, fashion workshops, lavish dinners, and glamorous events. It is the mission of AIFW director Paula Whittle to place Atlanta on the map as an emerging fashion capital in addition to its reputation as a musical mecca, tourist destination, and metropolitan hot-spot. Venues for the events include the Biltmore Hotel, Hotel Palomar, Eros Lounge, Opera Night Club, and Dolce in Atlantic Station. In addition to elaborate couture shows, AIFW will feature catwalk favorites from lines such as Ralph Lauren, Sean John, Bebe, Juicy Couture, Ecko, and Ashley Stewart, with the introduction of several major recording artists' lines. In addition to Brand Atlanta, some of the AIFW 2009 sponsors and partners include Comcast, Macy's, Six Degrees Magazine, Grey Goose, Smartwater, Palomar Hotel, Van Michael Salon and many more. Charities and non-profit organizations involved include Viva La Cure, Fashion for a Cause, and the Ovie Mughelli Foundation.
