LONDON, ENGLAND, August 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- August 1st sees the release of the Agent Provocateur Private Tapes, inspired by the prevalence, intimacy and public/ private paradox of home videos in today's culture.

Private Tapes is a series of short, 'home-made' film clips of women displaying Agent Provocateur's Autumn/Winter 2010 lingerie to a video camera, in what appears to be her hotel room. Each Tape is directed by Johan Renck and produced by RSA (Ridley Scott & Associates), and is approximately 15 seconds in duration. Without exception, the Private Tapes each begin with the anonymous woman switching on the camera. It is seductively voyeuristic experience, though the viewer is in no doubt that the woman is empowered and entirely in control of the recording.

Stills from the Private Tapes make up the Autumn Winter 2010 lingerie lookbook; each capturing an intimate, erotic moment in a completely modern format. Caught in this way, the still images retain a slightly grainy filmic quality that is real, sensual and home-made. The Private Tapes and images are unveiled on the Agent Provocateur website on 1st August 2010 to coincide with the launch of the new Autumn Winter 2010 collection in stores.
