He's The Well-Dressed Rebel. He's The Tailored Misfit.
Not Just a Tie, But A Statement - Artfully Disheveled Makes Its Debut.
CINCINNATI, OH, November 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Announcing "Beg, Borrow, & Steal", Artfully Disheveled's inaugural tie, bowtie, and pocket square collection available this Fall on-line (www.artfullydisheveled.com; via Facebook) and in select boutiques.
Founded by brothers Christopher and Trey Berre, and creative director, Michael Palmer, Artfully Disheveled embodies the Italian term "sprezzatura" - a well-practiced naturalness despite ones conscious forethought. Conceptualized by their travels and studies abroad coupled with their Midwest roots the men behind Artfully Disheveled move to create an individualized expression that exemplifies European sophistication with the unexpected twist of eclectic urban awareness.
A contradiction by definition, Artfully Disheveled, unlike other men's lifestyle brands, bridges the gaps between the traditional and the eccentric. It is for the man who desires a look that is refined, but not subdued - that is stylish, but not stuffy - that has classical roots, but is not conformed. "You can go into most men's clothing stores in the world and buy a tie. Our collection, however, does not seek to utilize colors and patterns simply because the fashion world now demands it with no explanation," explains Chris Berre. "We specifically develop the colors and patterns to cohesively come together to tell a unique story. Every man should be wearing a piece that expresses his own individualized style. Artfully Disheveled is a way for men who may not be style conscious to have a piece that has a story to it - adopting the piece as his own individualized expression."
Palmer says the goal is to be "classic with a twist," by utilizing familiar patterns that reveal more subtle details as you inspect them closer. Palmer notes that it's important that men wear something that's not just stylish, but conversational as well. "The mere inclusion of a tie or pocket square to a man's ensemble is not meant to personify a generalized class of person, but to speak on behalf of the man's own inner self, " explains Trey Berre.
"GO STEAL, OR BEG, OR BORROW THINE EXPENSE."(Geoffery Chaucer's, The Canterbury Tales). Artfully Disheveled's fall/winter line transcends the once negative alliteration of Chaucer's passage and breathes new life into its modern equivalent. True character is displayed during times of adversity. We believe in obtaining our goals by any means necessary and find no shame in resorting to this lifestyle in the figurative sense. It is through this gritty approach that Artfully Disheveled will have you begging for more, borrowing details from the classics, and stealing the attention of any style minded individual.
Artfully Disheveled launches "Beg, Borrow & Steal" this Thursday, November 11, 2010 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Rookwood Bar and Restaurant beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Artfully Disheveled has offices in Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois.
