Mary Catherine Dumas Joins the Ranks of Leading Business Professionals
Mary Catherine Dumas turns her attention from governmental support services to the retail market with DCMS

FORT WORTH, TX, April 7, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Mary Catherine Dumas, Director of DCMS, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.

As the director of DCMS, Mary Catherine Dumas specializes in selling and distributing custom fit brassieres for women of all ages. She provides consultations for personal customized fitting, and educates women on foundation and support. In addition, she arranges shows and events at churches, homes and spas, handles marketing and advertising, oversees sales and administrative functions, and manages finance and public relations.

Ms. Dumas notes that she began her career as a GS1 with the Department of Defense. She advanced quickly to a GS13 Supervisory Contract Specialist position—a charge she would hold for the next 34 years. Following her retirement, she returned to work as a contracted Contract Specialist post-Katrina for approximately two years with the Corps of Engineers projects in New Orleans, Louisiana. Motivated by her interest in fashion, Ms. Dumas made the eventual career shift into retail, and attributes her success to her hard work and perseverance.

Ms. Dumas holds a master of arts in professional development and leadership, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, both from Dallas Baptist University. She received an associate degree in business from National University in San Diego, California and is a certified mediator with the State of Texas. In the future, she intends to further develop her business.
