Black Top Shopping.com Launches the Fashion Social Network for Emerging Designers on February 14th

NEW YORK, NY, February 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Emerging fashion designers now have their own social network courtesy of Black Top Shopping.com. The Fashion Social Network for Emerging Designers along with an Open Fashion Video Casting Call was announced today to mark the official launch of the website on February 14th. This new online community is generating a wave of anticipation because of its focus on assisting young, aspiring designers who are attempting to gain exposure in the market place. The aim of creating this community is to provide resources, support and gateway entry into the marketplace through the BTS Port-of-Call. Black Top Shopping is a portal for finding select quality apparel, home furnishings, electronics and accessories.

The goal of the community is to provide not only a meeting place for emerging designers and their fans, but also give them the means to pool their knowledge, advertise and market their creations without incurring additional expense. All of the segments of the fashion industry will be represented from education and training to production, photography and modeling. The shopping portal gives the designers an opportunity to see first-hand the types of goods that are being offered, how they are marketed and get feedback from the audience that view their creations.

The CEO behind the creation of the website, David E. Building a comprehensive database of resources for up-and-coming fashion designers is the ongoing task of the staff of BTS and community members who can contribute all forms of media from text to video that will serve to educate and inspire new designers as well as fashion design students.

Smith responded to the question of: What's next for the Fashion Social Network at Black Top Shopping, by stating: "Currently we have representatives in New York, London and Paris that are providing on the ground information about what's happening in the fashion world that will benefit emerging designers. We are putting the final touches on the Fashion Editor so that designers can have their items displayed for selection in members' collections to save to their favorite lists and purchase. There are several other features planned for the future including live events in different cities around the world as the network grows."

The BTS-Fashion Social Network will feature new designers in a video showcase every month with the first video scheduled for production in March 2011. The focus of the first video is on fashion apparel, jewelry and accessories. Registration forms for the submission guidelines are available on the Black Top Shopping homepage and the deadline for submissions is March 9th. Voting on the entries will start on March 15th and those that receive the most votes will be featured in the video.

With video being one of the most widely accepted mediums for marketing today, the distribution of the Fashion Social Network Showcase Video for Emerging Designers will provide worldwide exposure and new customers that are looking to purchase fresh creations in apparel, jewelry and accessories.
